Creating Better Parks Policy & Plan

Description

Creating Better Parks Policy & Plan (CBP) was first adopted by Brimbank City Council in 2008 and was updated in 2016.

CBP provided a framework to transform the Brimbank park network from one of poor amenity to one loved and used by the community.

Council invested over $50M in transforming 151 parks between 2008 and 2023. This is considered to be one of the biggest park transformation programs in Melbourne.

Community quote

“I cannot believe how many more people use this reserve now that there are paths and trees, it looks inviting and no more mud when walking through. I love leaving my curtains drawn to see all the lovely trees growing and people walking past.”
